The Audi A1 Launches in Europe
If live in Europe or you're going to be in Europe sometime in the near future, you may want to test drive the new Audi A1, which will be available in dealerships in Germany beginning tomorrow.
Apparently, interest in the A1 has exceeded expectations. The company is planning to increase production by 20 percent with units to be launched in the Asia-Pacific region as well as South America in early 2011. The company is also thinking about bringing the A1 to China.
So, will the A1 make it to the U.S.? Kirby over at TopSpeed says that there is a glimmer of hope - only if the U.S. market is willing to pay premium price for a hatchback. It has a starting price of €15,800, which converts to about $20,074.
Would you be willing to spend that much for a A1?
