The internet is buzzing with news from the Geneva Auto Show: Audi has revealed the Audi A3 concept car. At first glance, my initial thought was...So what's the difference between this new A3 concept and the current A4?. Here are some notable differences that I came across:
Horsepower: The Audi A3 sedan will have an impressive 408 hp while the A4 has 211 hp.
Body Length: The A3 sedan is 174.8 inches long, which is 10.2 inches shorter than the A4.
Fuel Mileage: The A3 will deliver an estimated 25.85 U.S. miles per gallon (not sure if that is city or highway). The 2011 A4 achieves 23-mpg in the city and 30-mpg on the highway.
Interior: Jet-like air vents and pop-up multi-media display.
Front Grille: The new A3 will be made with carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), which is very lightweight and strong.
Aesthetically speaking, the A3 concept is much sportier and sleeker than the A4. As with any model, it also lives up to the elegance that Audi is known for.
In the following video, George Achorn of Fourtitude.com speaks with head of Audi Design, Stefan Sielaff, about the new A3 sedan...

It's not sleeker, it's chunkier. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as witness the 1-series. You really haven't mentioned any substantive differences: you can drop all kinds of motors in an engine bay. It's shorter. 1-series, 3-series. Yes, it looks great.
This vehicle has got a aggressive exterior appearance, which attracted me towards it…
