5 Tips For Buying Insurance For Your Audi

2012 Audi TT Coupe
If you’re an Audi owner, you want to make sure to take care of the investment that is your vehicle. That means regular maintenance and protecting the car in case of an accident. But don’t just buy any car insurance. Here are 5 tips to help you when shopping for insurance...

Don’t be hasty. Take the time to shop around and compare car insurance. You can save some time by using online comparison sites like GoCompare. Read more about GoCompare here.

Don’t buy insurance simply because it’s the cheapest. Even with car insurance, you often get what you pay for. The rates may be cheap, but the customer service could be horrible. You may get an agent who doesn’t return phone calls or the company adds a variety of “service” fees including a fee for paying in person versus paying online.

Read the policy and know what the deductible is and what exactly is covered. I’ve been reading different stories on several Audi forums about people having what they thought was comprehensive coverage, but being denied a claim because of “exceptions”. Read the fine print and make sure all of your questions are answered.

Make sure the company is “A” rated. You can use sites like to do research on a car insurance company that you’re interested in doing business with.

If you’re purchasing insurance online through a site like GoCompare, make sure to contact the insurance company directly first via phone to get an idea of their customer service. Some red flags to be aware of include a huge lag in time from the moment you call in and the time you speak with an agent, or a customer service rep who seems more interested in getting you off the phone than answering any of your questions.
